Membership

KHHCS membership is open to the original members of KARIBIA HIKERS HOUSING COOPERATIVE SOCIETY LTD, Spouses of Members, and Children above 18 years, Individuals introduced by Sacco members and employees of other corporates admitted as per the Membership policy.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
A person who possesses the following qualifications shall be eligible for membership:-

• Is within the field of membership consisting of the following common bond: members of Financial Hikers and Accountability Partners Informal Welfare Groups.
• Has attained the age of 18 years except incase of a minor who is heir to a deceased member.
• Is of sound mind
• Pays entrance fee and minimum share capital as stated by the by-laws.

APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
Every applicant for membership shall complete an “application for membership” form. This form shall be drawn to show all the information required for the purpose of members register.

ADMISSION INTO MEMBERSHIP

An applicant shall be admitted to membership on application and payment of the entrance fees of Kshs 2000 and paid in full for at least one share of Kshs 25,000 and for minimum shares as shall be fixed during the General meeting from time to time. Members shall be admitted by the committee subject to confirmation by the following general meeting.

On admission a member shall sign his name or make a thumb mark in the register of members in the presence of two committee members to indicate his acceptance of these by-laws. The member shall also fill a nominee form and be issued with a member identification number.
